Iro Haarla Trio’s programme is based on Haarla’s compositions. The trio’s distinctive sound is the product of years of collaboration. Through abstract and dissonating harmonies, the music always reaches for beauty, peace and emotion – to pause time and give way to tones. Music has the power to enlighten us and make us see wealth of life surrounding us.

The group originated from an YLE Jazz Club studio session in 2016.

April Jazz Club + WeeGee is a series of intimate concerts in museum surroundings. The series is a co-production between April Jazz Club, Exhibition Centre WeeGee and EMMA. Admission to the concerts is free.
