Performance | Gabriela Aldana: The Act of Caring
The Act of Caring is a poetic and embodied event created by performance artist Gabriela Aldana, in which the artist invites the audience to receive gentle care. One may also participate simply as an observer. The performance concludes with a soundscape created together with artist Lotta Petronella, offering a shared space and experience for everyone present.
Caring is an agreement between two people. One accepts that they are in need of care, and the other agrees to provide it. Care is touch and holding — a fundamental experience of life. No one would exist in this world without it; we are all born from touch, and we remain alive through it.
