April Jazz goes EMMA: Aki Rissanen on Stage
Featuring pianist Aki Rissanen, one of the hottest Finnish jazz musicians today. The April Jazz concert celebrates Rissanen’s solo album Divided Horizon, released in summer 2021. In addition to the grand piano, Rissanen will play the Omniwerk, a combination of two historical keyboard instruments: viola organista, a stringed instrument invented by Leonardo da Vinci, and the Baroque lute known as lautenwerk. Omniwerk is the only one of its kind in the world and has never been played in a jazz concert before.
