Espoo Day | Apollo Invivo: Italo Disco in EMMA’s exhibition space

  • 29.08.2026
  • 16:30 - 18:30
  • 2nd floor
  • Free entry

Apollo Invivo DJ mixes a carefully curated selection of Italo disco from vinyl records in EMMA’s exhibition space. Inspired by the surrounding artworks and their themes, Apollo brings together genre classics and ultra-rare selections in a thematic journey through community, love, space, and time – offering a musical response to the exhibitions’ central questions.

Italo disco is a synthesizer-driven genre of dance music influenced by fusion jazz, classical music, synthpop, and American disco. Originating in Italy, it spread across Europe in the 1980s and is now experiencing a global resurgence, once again finding its place at the heart of dance music. Apollo, 23, discovered the genre at the age of 13, captivated by a sound that is both timeless and rooted in its era.
