The event is part of the programme of the Finnish Architecture and Design Days. This years Finnish Architecture and Design Days are celebrated on 1–5 February under the theme ‘Quality of Living’. The programme consists of more than 50 events around Finland and online. Most of the discussions, lectures and guided tours are held in the Finnish language but the programme also offers events in English.
Share your design classic
Design touches our lives in many ways, both in our everyday environment and in the form of objects. The Finnish Architecture and Design Days are a perfect occasion to be inspired by classics of Finnish design at EMMA. We also invite you to share stories about objects and products that have become classics in your life. Write down your memories of cherished design objects and leave them in the exhibition space for others to read.
This tour of public artworks in Tapiola is conducted by jogging. The Art Run is led by sports instructor Rani Saarinen, who is also a guide at EMMA.
Queer Guided Tour
The guided tour visits the works of EMMA’s current exhibitions through gender and sexual diversity.
Metamorphosis – Part II + Q&A
Metamorphosis – Part II is a slowly changing painterly event that appears different depending on the viewing angle. The performance is part of an interdisciplinary exhibition created for EMMA’s space by artist Hannaleena Heiska and dancer-choreographer Minna Tervamäki.
