Ryijy Rugs | EMMA Talks at the Collection Kakkonen Exhibition
The Collection Kakkonen exhibition of ceramic and glass objects is now complemented with ryijy rugs from the collection. The rugs on display include pieces by Uhra-Beata Simberg-Ehrström and Timo Sarpaneva, among others. During the tour, you will learn about the background of ryijy rugs and the people who make them. Leena Svinhufvud, ryijy expert and senior researcher at the Architecture and Design Museum, will be discussing rugs with EMMA’s guide Riikka Alanko. There will also be time for questions from the public.
Included in the museum entrance fee (20/10€, free entry for under 18-year-olds).
