Maaria Wirkkala’s artwork is not a direct comment on Claude Monet’s art but through different means studies the themes of reflections and serialism which were particularly characteristic of Monet’s later work. Maaria Wirkkala’s installation consists of windshield glass and variations in the moving image and daylight on external and internal surfaces. The glass ladder frequently found in Maaria Wirkkala’s work is also included in the installation.
