This weekend you don’t need to put on day clothes – we’re having a pyjama party!

Come to EMMA to explore the world of dreams, meet surprising creatures of the night, make grown-ups sleep, and listen to the very best dream stories. Anything can happen in the night! The festival weekend is full of things to do and experience together: workshops, performances, music and other exciting things in which art, architecture and history play an important part.

Other museums in Tapiola will also join the pyjama party that lasts the entire weekend 16–17 March 2024. Once again, the super popular Children’s Museum Festival offers plenty of exciting things to experience and see in the museums along Ahertajantie Road: WeeGee Exhibition Centre, EMMA and KAMU as well as the Leikki and Kruunu museums.

Please have a look at the weekend’s programme and timetable over here.

Children’s Museum Festival is organised by EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art, the Leikki Museum of Play, the WeeGee Exhibition Centre, KAMU Espoo City Museum, and Kruunu, the Finnish Museum of Horology and Jewellery. The festival collaboration also includes the Espoo City Library, the Espoo School of Art and the Arkki School of Architecture for Children and Youth. In cooperation with AFRY.

Venues

Tapiola museums: EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art, KAMU Espoo City Museum, the Mauri Kunnas exhibition at Exhibition Centre WeeGee, as well as the Leikki museum of play and Kruunu, the Finnish Museum of Horology and Jewellery across the yard. The Espoo School of Art and the Arkki School of Architecture for Children and Youth also provide creative activities.

Location

Tapiola museums are located within walking distance of Tapiola metro station, at Ahertajantie 3 (Leikki and Kruunu) and Ahertajantie 5 (WeeGee Exhibition Centre: EMMA, KAMU and Mauri Kunnas exhibition). We recommend using public transport. EMMA’s website has videos with instructions to help you find your way from the metro station to the festival. Please note that there is a very limited number of parking spaces near the museums.
