Tea!

In the words of an old Chinese proverb "Better a day without food than a day without tea". In China an entire culture has grown up around tea over the centuries and today the country boasts one of the largest selection of teas in the world.

The TEA exhibition presents vessels, objects, scroll paintings as well as tea itself. The oldest object, a teapot dating back to the Han dynasty (25-229 A.D.) is almost 2000 years-old and the newest is from the beginning of the 20th century. The EMMA shop will sell different qualities of China tea rarely available in Finland. The exhibition is organised in co-operation with the China Tea Museum and the Tianjin Museum.
