Kaisa Salmi's artwork commenting on the Finnish Civil War of 1918 has opened
Fellman’s Field is a documentary film by Kaisa Salmi commenting on the Finnish Civil War of 1918. The film was shot as part of Fellman’s Field – Living Monument of 22 000 People, a large-scale participatory performance organized by Salmi in the Finnish town of Lahti in April 2013. -
Tapio Wirkkala Rut Bryk Foundation Receives Special Jury Prize in the Helsinki Design Awards
The Tapio Wirkkala Rut Bryk Foundation has been selected as the winner of the Special Jury Prize in the Helsinki Design Awards. Organized in conjunction with Helsinki Design Week – one of Finland’s most prestigious events – the Helsinki Design Awards gives recognition to Finnish designers and domestic design. -
EMMA is Museum of the Year 2018
EMMA was awarded Museum of the Year 2018. Five other museums competed for the same prize: the Aine Art Museum in Tornio, the Moomin Museum and the Finnish Museum of Games in Tampere, the Finnish Aviation Museum in Vantaa, and the National Museum of Finland in Helsinki. We are grateful for the recognition, especially because we were in high-quality company.
