Kyösti Kakkonen’s design collection to be displayed permanently at WeeGee – this marks a significant expansion for EMMA
The internationally significant Collection Kakkonen focuses on Finnish design and features Finnish glass and ceramics from modernism to the present day. The collection opens to the public in November 2022. -
The multicoloured Flux by Vesa-Pekka Rannikko reflects the various meanings of the new centre
The large-sized sculpture will be located at Vaakunatori square in Espoo Centre, which is the heart of Espoo that is currently being reshaped. Flux is already on display at the Vaakunatori Square and the area will be completed in November 2020. -
A diverse group of artists is taking part in an exhibition presenting ceramic art renewed
The exhibition will highlight artists who have regenerated ceramics as a contemporary art material. The works address the themes of breaking and rebuilding through ceramic material – people’s relationship to the soil, environment and each other.
